For those of you keeping tabs on the markets lately, things have been pretty crazy e.g 1000 point swings in the dow and real estate values taking huge dips in the U.S and now across Canada.
Personally I do my best to pay attention, learn and profit in times like these. Although it’s not good to hear about people’s RRSP’s and what not tanking, I do find what’s going on very interesting.
It’s when times are tough that one can make the biggest gains in a lot of cases. In a few years from now, we will no doubt hear about a few people (I plan on being one of them) who saw opportunity amidst the strife in the markets and made unemotional decisions which lead them to significant profits.
Real estate, stocks, and the web: there are opportunities in all of these areas and countless others right now while everyone’s emotional and scared.
Advice for people with websites: now is the time to make an even bigger push online. Do it when others are cutting back their online marketing budgets, do it now and solidify your position on the web while your competition is running for the hills and do it now, when today, more than ever people are using the web to find information, products and services.
