What Would Google Do?

by Adam Killam on June 22, 2009

I picked up this book yesterday and I’m having a hard time putting it down.

It’s called “What Would Google Do?” by Jeff Jarvis. The book talks about how Google operates, how it thinks about business and core principles all businesses need to live and operate by in a Google dominated world.

In my line of work I have a lot of conversations with people about web marketing and what they should be doing/focusing on. This book provides a huge piece of the context behind how to think and prosper in the age of Google and it is a must read. I am on page 41 right now after getting it last night and am finding it hard to put down.

I actually think this book is so important for people to read that I went back to Chapters today and bought every copy they had. I will be giving these books to my clients over the next week as I believe each one of them needs to read it and begin adopting its principles.

If you read “The World is Flat” in the past couple of years (another must read even if it is a couple of years old) you’ll definitely get a lot from this one.

Pick it up asap. Just don’t try to do so at the Robson and Howe Chapters as they are sold out right now!

PS: Whether you are selling real estate or security services, construction services, selling telephone systems, teaching, promoting authors or promoting stocks, photography services, online advertising, selling courses, selling audio visual equipment, between jobs or retired: GET THIS BOOK!
